New overcurrent protection relay for railway applications

The new MRS13R offers an effective and flexible protection solution against overcurrents. It provides fast and precise tripping of a circuit breaker that safely and reliably disconnects the circuit to prevent serious damage from overload or short-circuit conditions. This combination significantly improves the operational safety, reliability and recoverability of electrical systems on trains.

Dhe MRS13R has an extremely fast response behaviour to overcurrent events and detects and reacts to an overload within just 20 ms. It therefore fully fulfils the requirements and wishes of our customers in the railway industry. The product was developed in close co-operation with one of our customers in order to meet their specific needs.
